Wxm got off to a two match lead. Young Josh dispatching Rachel in three competitive games. Tez was not out to make any friends with a ruthless display against young Jamie.
Will was the favourite to beat Alex but a strong physical, consistent and patient display from the Neston player forced Will into taking too many risks.
Onto what was in effect the deciding match. JD v Mark T. Amazing competitive battle. JD had two match balls but Mark’s renewed fitness, mobility and canny shot selection in the vital moments made the difference.
The last match was Adam v Em. Despite Adam wearing his custom made Brymbo shirt for the first time he couldn’t make inroads into the onform Neston pro. Good to see Adam moving more freely.
Thank you to Matt Uren for refereeing the match and taking Adam to the train station. Above and beyond the call of duty. 👏
