we hope that you all had an enjoyable Festive period.
although we were without our Shropshire stars CCO felt optimistic about tonight's match and when wily old willo started brightly and then held off a spirited comeback to get an early win on the board things were looking more hopeful.
willo and Seb play a similar style of squash and in between the two shot rallies some rather decent rallies could be found !
Frostie and Chris went toe to toe like two welterweight boxers with no quarter asked or given and although Frostie won the earlier rounds, Chris held on to deliver the knockout blow in the fifth.
Graham started brightly but it was our guest who, returning from a lengthy lay off, had the edge in the 'red zone' in three very tight games to put the visitors ahead.
Mark showed once again why he is probably the best player in this league and despite 'Toughmudder's' best efforts the match was won and the bonus points were heading off down the A540.
Dave and Mike proved, as ever, that there is no such thing as a 'dead rubber' and despite having been around since 7.15pm served upon some superb squash with Dave edging it for the hosts.
so with only one court we were finished at just after 10.30pm and perfectly timed for the China garden delivery
a welcome 9 points for CCO and a possible springboard for their trip over the Mersey Gateway and a relegation 40 pointer v LCC 3 next Thursday.
