Report

Report:Great to welcome a new team to the Flacca and Divi 3SW although all familiar faces and a bit of a CCO reunion with Joe and willo now playing for the home team and Roy, Gareth and Satwant for our visitors with Jacko as chief cheerleader but Big Bad Nathan (holiday ....... during the season ?!?!) and hard hitting Heyland (away on business no doubt) MIA 😂

Banter in the bar before the match and Steve opted to challenge experience over youth but when he found himself two down against Max he may have been regretting that decision?

However, he was determined to get full value for his match taking games 3 and 4 by the tightest of margins before Max dug deep to sneak the fifth and the hosts were one up and a rather relieved Max was off to the bar

on court 2 a frantic and fiercely contested first game would see Liam survive a game ball before taking the game in overtime then wearing down James into unforced errors to take the match in straight sets.

with more flicks and tricks than a Strictly Jive, Gareth bewildered wily old willo and romped into an early lead, then weathered willo's fightback to 9-9 but held on to take the first with two sublime serves.

That would be as good as it would get as the old man served up some get ahead stay ahead squash and the hosts had secured the bonus points.

no such tthing as a dead rubber and old CCO team mates Joseph and roy went at it toe to toe., nip and tuck until Roy was forced to retire during the 4th game with a calf injury ~ we wish him a speedy but safe recovery.

having been called up from the thirds, Giles had driven 7 hours from Cornwall and proved just too strong for Sat and the clean sweep was complete.

so great squash and great conversation in the bar enjoying Justyna's Hunter's Chicken, chips and peas.

next time ~ it's Liam's choice ... chicken nuggets ? Fish Fingers maybe ???
