As always with Winsford, a great night was had by all, there was some cracking games, the highlight had to be Jones v Jefford with both players giving it everything, could have gone either way, however Nathan edged it with Luke's legs just giving up on him in the 5th.
New member Paul (Fletch) had a debut to remember by getting off to a winning start against Moxy, Paul said afterwards that he is considering retiring from league squash undefeated, but we are not having that as it expected he will only get better and be a great player for the club.
John v Rueben, if these lads could just hit the ball a little bit harder!! a great match by all accounts with some excellent racket skills on display.
Steve v Toby, with Toby feeling a little under the weather he dropped down to 3, much to Steve's............... delight, Toby was in control throughout however Mr Jones managed to get his deadly drops going in the 4th and got a point on the board for Whitby
Matt V Dan, prior to the game, Dan had pointed out that he has dropped 10KG and has never felt better, was this Mourinho esque mind games, No it wasn't!! Dan was all over the Court and worked Matt like a Pit Pony, who by the end was hoping for the curtains to be put around him and put out of his misery.
