Report

Report:Woolston negotiated wet and windy conditions and flooded roads to get to the Flacca for an early start. Cobberz was unavailable so Stu got to face a different challenge in Irish Joe.

All games were nip and tuck with the turning point being Stu saving four game balls to win the third then taking the fourth and our guests were one up.

Tom continued his Divi 3 squash education, having played Mighty Mo at CRUFC last week, he faced 'the awkward one' again in hard hitting John and once again would get full value from his match fee with both players having match balls in the fifth before John edged it.

Hopefully Tom will get to play 'Captain Fantastic' at neston next week for a more 'conventional' style of play 🤞

so Woolston two up, but this was to be as good as it would get for the visitors as willo and Andy entertained the crowd with their usual 5 setter with willo sneaking his first win of the season to bring the hosts back in to the match.

This week it was Ethan's uncle providing support from the balcony and he would not be disappointed as his nephew overcame a set back in the second to play get ahead, stay ahead squash and the match was all square.

once again, a crowded gallery (well it is not the widest balcony in NWCSL) with glasses charged for the number ones ~ hap hazard Max v Cool Hand Luke(some of you may need to google that reference !). Luke's calm composure saw him take the lead in a very close first game before his work Christmas party on Wednesday night / Thursday morning 🍻 may have caught up with him as Max secured the win for the home team.

Christmas Dinner for supper, clean plates all round, so everybody got mince pies for pudding.

Merry Christmas 🎅 everybody !!!
