| Report: | So the new season kicked off with an rather epic battle at the tropically warm courts of Brymbo as we welcomed Neston.
Firsts up first, newly wed Rich versus old hand Graeme, Rich's frantic pace and running proving too hot to handle for Graeme stylish game. 1-0 Brymbo
Rhys was outclassed by a outstanding display of shots from an on form Colin. 1-1
Adam Mitchell, need I say more. A few nipple tweaks and a flash of pink against the hard hitting junior Lewis who deservedly got a game (to cries of you can't have him...) 2-1 Neston
Your truly up against the wiley Potts, who played some lovely shots, my backhand volley saved the day and Potts was left longing for the garden... 2-2
And it came down to two nice chaps to decide the match, Farmer Jones fresh from ploughing the field and the always youthful Captain Fantastic with a tough see-saw game, match points to both in the fifth... Lewis sneaked it some how and sealed the win on a cracking first game back.
Good banter, beer and a Chinese to end a great evening. It's good to be back! |
