| Report: | A tough night for Tattenhall juniors. Barnton fielding a very experienced side.
Robbie Blair made a guest appearance at no 1 string..... Barton must have been worried about slipping up against Tattenhall juniors.!!!
Young Tom went on against Robbie. Tom played some really good squash, but, he had never played someone like Blairy before. Robbie controlled the game well to take first match for Barnton.
Next Chris took on Robbie Blair jnr. A great game. Chris has now worked out his back hand boast and struck some awesome nicks. But Robbie, like his Dad, was just too strong.
Then Ryan stepped on against expert ref Ged. Ryan looked half asleep and struggled to get going until the 3rd game when he finally made Ged work for his points. Too little too late though.
Tattenhall were getting mullered.
Then Liam played seasoned veteran Eric. Both players were striking the ball well and there were some terrific rallies. A very close match, but, Barnton coming out winners again.
Last up Ethan v Pete. Ethan lost a very close 1st, but, then Pete was on fire in the 2nd firing bullets. Ethan got himself back into the 3rd, but, again a little too late.
Well played Barnton. A good lesson for Tattenhall juniors. |
