Report

Report: at the start of the day just two points separated these two teams at the foot of the Divi 2W table so both sides were hopeful of their first win of the season.

Family and work commitments meant that a number of the Tattenhall team were late on parade so when Ketts got the evening started a little after 7.30pm, he looked up to the balcony only to be met by a sea of Heswall faces and must have thought that he was playing away fo the second week running.

Chris got off to a quick start to be 5-2 up before Ketts stole the momentum taking 9 points on the bounce and the first game. Dogged determination saw our guest level the match, only for Ketts to dig deep and put the hosts one up, just in time for Tom and Jonny to arrive following their cross border journey (from North Wales!).

Jonny was blown away by a scintillating pefomance by Andy Corran last week, but this week the boot was on the other foot as he was just too strong for Craig and the hosts were two -up, but this was to be as good as it would get for the home team.

on the other court, a squash racket is rather like a magic wand for both Ryan and Tom and we were treated to some amazing shots from both players but Ryan proved to be more consistent and our guests had pulled a match back.

When agreeing to play Karl had made the schoolboy error of not consulting either Mrs Hardy, the Hardy kitchen calendar or most importantly his youngest daughter who was 11 today and expecting daddy home for her birthday tea !!!

Fortunately, his sqaush kit was in the boot of his car so hopefully no-one would notice when he popped out for a pint of milk and a loaf of bread.

Mark having rested last week and missed out on playing JD, was in fantastic fom and weathered a rally fom Karl in the second to square the match and Karl would be leaving empty handed. Let's hope he remembeed to pick up the pint of milk and loaf of bread that he popped out for.

In the hard hitting decider, Charlie could get no change out of Mike which meant that Tattenhall would still be searching for the all important first win of the season with the opportunity to renew old acquaintanes with the boys from Capitol Squash and 'The Green man'. next Thursday.
