Report

Report: It was as expected going to be an uphill battle for the boys or should I say the old boys from Brooklands. Even the drive was up hill.
Geoff the pensioner Walton was first on playing Jamel the Kitchen King Johnston who was too strong for the old guy. A well-deserved victory. However, the pensioners was offered 20% off his next kitchen.
Logistics Mark F was next on at 1 against Sam I'm only going to play a drop if there is an R in the month Bates. Unfortunately for Mr Logistics there was an R and he went down after a courageous fight.
The writing was firmly on the wall and before The Kitchen King could up his discount offer to 30% The Brooklands boys were 4 down with both Charles the Artist Hickson and Glenn I go on holiday 20 times a year Burns losing 3 zip. There was nothing to lose but our pride. Who better to maintain the Brooklands pride than the junior of the team Gareth why play a drop when you can smash the ball causing it to rebound off all 4 walls Williams. Playing Paul, The Yorkshire Magician Bickell. The saying of opposites attract could not be further from the truth. The magicians drops, lobs and all round I going to make you run up your own back side was perfection giving him a 3:1 victory.
However, the best was yet to come as it was still only 9-30 and Wetherspoons beckoned. The Glossop guys were perfect generous hosts allowing us to order anything off the Michelin 5-star menu. So as not to cause insult of upset Mark did.
So not a great result but that was more than compensated by the perfect hosts from Glossop.
So its onward and upward literally for the Brooklands Boys when you view the league table
