Report

Report:Injuries, illness and unavailability due to half term meant that Whitey did not have to initiate the 'Captain's Prerogative Protocol' to promote himself from No 1 in the second team to Fortress CCO and renew old rivalries.

Given the number of vacancies in the Divi 3 schedule, perhaps the league could have considered a break for half-term?

David got the home team off to a flying start whilst willo and Max were engaged in see-saw squash on the other court. Wily old willo would eventually prevail.

at No 3 string, it was to be cobden the younger who would overcome the canny Whitey. Who would have known that Whitey turned 60 earlier this year ?!?

A racket really is a wand when waved by Welsh Wizard Tom who with deft flicks, luscious lobs and deveilish drives had Charlie covering every board on the court as Referee willo had to remind Charlie that 90 seconds is the break between games and not between points!!

A titanic tussle inevitably went to 10 - 10 in the fifth with Tom unceremoniously putting Charlie's match ball serves in to the side nicks before claiming our visitors only win of the evening.

Sadly, the new bar at Fortress CCO ran out of draught cider by 8.30 and draught lager by 9pm, leading to a rather massive consumption of bottles of Peroni (mostly by Charlie drowning his sorrows)

inevitably, whitey was keen to set a date for a possible night out in Chester (Friday 10th December anybody?)
