Report

Report: After the euphoria of last weeks must win match the boys in blue faced the high-flying Knutsford Toffs. We knew it was going to be an intimidating night, having to dodge the low flying planes taking off from Ringway and the snarling deer’s peering over the wall of the historic Tatton Park estate.

It didn’t start well with Mark gentleman Jack Holmes loosing in 3 to Dave the lobber Waring.

The eagerly awaited return after injury of Dave bob the builder Baldwin was now a reality. However, Tony the assassin Beardwood was not going to make it a happy return for the builder with an underpinning win in 3.

Its was the clash of the Titans next. Could Geoff the pensioner Walton keep the match alive by upsetting in form Simon if you need help with creating a website, I’m your man Langley or would the programmers BASIC Language of thrashing the ball as hard as he can compile a win. The algorithms didn’t go the way of the pensioner in the first 2 games but there was an internet boost from the pensioners racket in the 3rd that almost caused the programmers game to crash but it didn’t and so the match was lost for the boys in blue

Could Charles the Artist Hickson produce a master stroke and get valuably needed points for the boys in blue. However, the Toffs next player the majestic Graham Woods erased any thoughts of point gaining. Although the Artist lost in 3 the games were much closer than the result suggests.

It was up to the surgeon Waq The Knife to try and bring a level of respectability for the boys in blue. Not an easy task against an opponent who while waiting for Waq The Knife to arrive carried out an audit on the number of deer’s grazing in the Tatton estate, Yes it was Paul the number cruncher Norman, who’s only vocabulary numerals are 3 & 0. The surgeon fought a great fight however, his cutting boosts were sedated by the accountant’s agility around the court to complete a whitewash for the Toffs.

So, it was off to the banqueting hall for a magnificent hearty supper. With sad hearts but full bellies the boys in blue returned to their commoners lives while the Toffs celebrated with a grand ball before returning to their estates
