| Report: | A winning start for the Brooklands Boys.
The lockdown has not dampened their enthusiasm. There was a new face on show THE SURGEON Waqar Saadat. Waqar was first on against a formidable opponent Ben I haven’t played for over a year Darlington. The SURGEON’s usual cutting style had been left on the operating table losing a very close game.
Next on was Boaster Booth. At 1 he led from the front. His majestic style was far too much for Malcolm I don’t look a day older than I did 10 years ago Balls. The match was now level.
So how would Dave I always accept a decision Baldwin do. It was the battle of the 2 Dave’s there was no need to worry with his classic squash play beat Dave the deceptive mover Evans.
The boys were now 2:1 ahead. Only I more rubber win to give an almost perfect start.
Would the pensioner Geoff the magician Walton bring home the win and the 5 bonus points? Never in doubt. His slight of hand and disappearing ball into the nicks was on this occasion too much for Gary curly locks Williamson
The match was won but there were still points to play for. Last on was Charles the artist Hickson. Unfortunately, he will need to sharpen his crayons for the next match losing 3:0 to Neil I don’t know where I’m hitting the ball, but it seems to win a point Martin.
