Report: | CCO were at full strength for the visit of our friends from Neston, but sadly like King Canute could not hold back the tide as our guests left with a handsome twenty points.
Rachel, fresh from her travels on WPSA tour was too good for Eddie, who look jaded from his travels up the A5, A483 & A55 !
Nige and Si, having played together over many years at Deeside know each other's games like the back of each other's hands. Si had the upper hand this evening to extend his lead in their head to head record to 168 - 164 !
GLS got the better of an improving game by game Dave Cad. If only they had been playing best of seven or nine !!
in the battle of our respective youth policies, Graham and Jack played consistently well with jack edging the match.
Frostie and Jon were even stephen, when our guest totally abused our hospitality to take games three and four to complete the whitewash. Although a smudge on the card (Kung Pho King Prawn from the China Garden)
suggested that the score in the third game was 6-11, it was actually 0-11 as jon cut off Frosties drives, cruelly chopped his cross courts and savagely sliced his lobs into the nick and snipped his boasts to shreds. He claimed in the bar afterwards that he was merely 'picking the low hanging fruit' which is ironic given that he is shortly to lose his ....... Good Luck Jon !
