| Report: | 1st match of the season and it didn’t disappoint!
First up, the old warhorse Jason v the Village virgin Josh playing his first ever match! Josh ran and ran but deft touch and T domination saw Jason win 3-0.
Playing alongside was young Joe against the Cherry blossom bearded Andrius!! Some first match this was as well; fast and furious with youth finally triumphing 12-10 in the fifth.
Next up Holywell newest player but no stranger to the league Rik, who was on fire as he brushed aside Andy 3-0. What a great signing!
Then came young Alex v village veteran Mike dragged out of retirement to play. Despite Mike’s graceful prancing around the court and his relentless attempts to burst the ball, youth triumphed once again 3-0.
Then it was Mike up against Karl, the Village’s most orthodox player!! The last time they played, it was a proper humdinger and this one just carried on where they left off! A proper battle and it was Mike’s turn to nip the match 16-14 in the fifth!
All was left to do was go to the curry house for some cracking food and beers!
