Report

Report:After passing through passport control Brooklands arrived at Disley. Expectations were high from the boys in blue. However the pensioner was not factored into those expectation. Will get to him later.
Andy the silver fox Booth was first up against Elastic Man Malcolm Balls who drew first blood making most of the elasticity in his arms and legs not to mention his 6ft 3 height they build them tall and bendy in Derbyshire. However the guile and cunning of the fox prevailed and the first rubber went to the boys in blue. Next on was the match of the night Al the destroyer Connor against Ben please teach me how to play a drop shot Losel. The tension was intense with the match swinging one way then the other at one point the crowd was blinded by the quality but then we realised it was the reflection from the destroyers bald head. Youth was the victor in the end but age and experience was the ultimate winner. So the match was now even but not for long Gary my knees are knackered Williamson was no match for Nick the calculator Bishop. The boys in blue were ahead again and only one match away from taking the 5 bonus points. Could Geoff the pensioner Walton secure the night’s victory well he was as much use as a chocolate teapot with Ben the beast Darlington winning easily. It was all square again but the boys in blue victory was never in doubt as last on was Gareth Mr reliable Williams drafted in from the 3rd team won by 3 falls and a knockout against Neil the gentleman Martin.
16 hard earned points for the boys in blue as for the boys from the hills unlucky but a great chilli for supper
