| Report: | Tattenhall welcomed home Karl Hardy for his first match of the season. The team looked fairly strong on paper and had home advantage. But in walked Chester and they looked strong too.
First up fireman Kieran v Whitey. Whitey controlled the first 4 points and was looking good, but, Kieran decided to up the pace and prices just too strong. 3-0 to Chester.
Then young George stepped on against Carl. Two fit players...although Carl was nursing a cold (poor lad). Carl edged a close first game 11-9. Then George cruised the 2nd 11-3 and looked like he had the measure of Carl. Carl must have taken a pension as he came back refreshed and took the next two.
Then big boy Tom against young Lewis. Tom cruised to an early lead in the first with Lewis looking bemused as Tom flicked shots all over the court. But Lewis dug in and came back to win the first. Tom just lost the 2nd too and Lewis was then cruising.
Tattenhall struggling..!!!
Ketts v Stevey G.... What a game. A pulsating 5 setter. Some great shots and some great blocks....the ref was tested a few times😁. It went to the wire and Steve just popped Ketts in the fifth.
Finally the no 1 seeds. Karl v Joe. Some fantastic squash...both players evenly matched, long rallies, tremendous pick ups, fantastic reactions. Joe just got the run of the green at the end of each ofb3 very close games....all going to 10-10...
Ah well, well played Chester. Tattenhall are starting to need a few points.
