| Report: | Penultimate home game tonight and Whitby with the strongest squad we could field entertaining the very prompt 6:50pm arrival of Barnton with the weakest one they could field.
So let’s get this over with and get on it was the attitude from John and Hembo who are both on first and having a race to the first beer.
John v Adam on court 1 and after a working out session in the 1st John took no prisoners on the next 2 but despite his 11-1 11-2 that wasn’t enough to beat the beer monster that is Hembo who by this time was on the balcony beer in hand looking down after his demolition of Gareth.
So 7:15 and Whitby 2-0 up. On Next Dave and Peter with Dave wanting to get something out of his court time playing the proper way with lengths rather than winner easily took the match 3-0 breaking the slightest of sweats and saving plenty in the tank for a post match knock with Charlie.
Next on is Shaun who will always provide us with some entertainment as he almost gave David a game in the 2nd just about managing a 13-11 wedged between 2 11-2’s. Only Shaun can manage that.
So 7:50, Whitby 4-0 and were all waiting for Charlie to grace us with his presence no more than Jim who is chomping at the bit to have a crack at him. Inevitably, Charlie seen it out 3-0 and stayed on court to sweat it out with Dave.
So very early night all done and dusted in a hour and a half which meant a ridiculous amount off bear was consumed but the company and conversation were first class unlike the squash
