| Report: | Whitby were not expecting much from tonights game due to losing 3 players by 5 O'clock.
so all hands to the pumps to get enough players.
Finally with the last 5 players available playing Whitby were down to the bone.
John and Jimmy were up first, John comfortably took his game even with the wobble in the 3rd.
Jimmy on the other court needed to be off early, but decided instead to play a 5 setter and come from behind for the win.
Bob and Andy were next on the agenda, Bob struggled against the improved Paul and finally fell at the last fence after running out of legs.
Andy coming back from injury and only playing because there was no one else available, his first game in 4 weeks, started well, but faded a bit in the middle before charging for the finish line for the win in the 5th.
Shaun not used to playing the final game carried on his winning ways easily taking out Nolan with his normal aplomb. |
