| Report: | Another absolute thrilling encounter!!!😃 First up was Montgomery v Igo which was a one sided affair with Monty’s silky smooth shots far too good for Igo. Then a 5 set epic between Ranson and Rushton with the scores at 12,12 Rushton played 3 sublime winners to take the win. Then came the match of the night with Mushtaq v Medworth. Meds raced into a 2,0 lead within 10 mins then Mushtaq dug deep into his reserves to claw his way back to 2,2 and in the 5th was 13,10 up and had sight of victory only for Medworth to play his best 5 rallies of the match and take it 15,13 to send Mushtaq into therapy for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Next up Caffrey v Wrigley was a tight game but with Wriggers slightly off the pace Caffrey was far too clinical and accurate so won quite comfortable. Last up Oldfield v Groves was a battle of fitness and looking at the scores it was clear that Jamie had the legs with Groves blowing from the first few rallies🤣😂 great match well done the 3rds bit of a sickner for the 4ths as we actually scored 10 points to your 9 but you got the 5 bonus 😭😭😭😭😭 |
