| Report: | Our first home match of the season with the Welsh wizards from Wrexham.
First up were the young boys Josh and Josh. Our Josh just back from a stag do minus most of his girlie locks was on court eager to get going as even younger Josh warmed up in the gym which clearly paid off, whilst wearing his school satchel, schooled our Samson and is going to be a star for the future!
On the other court were the old warhorses Andy and Laurie. Andy was ready and waiting as Laurie got his tribal gear on. Laurie's tactics worked as he teased Andy with his deft touch and used his coaching skills to great effect!
Next on was our other 'youngster' Dan against Richard. A good battle with three close games that on another day would've been a different result!
Was a Wrexham potential whitewash on the cards?
Next up was me against the wiley old fox Geraint, who drew the short straw to play me cos Dan was running scared!
A great battle with humour, broken strings and Geraint screaming 'this is so frustrating!' as I teased him with my self taught shots as I ran away victorious x
Laurie would never teach my game to the youngsters!!
Dan chose to play Andrius; the clash of the dodgy accents!
What a battle this was! Dan went off flying into a 2-0 lead before Andrius weighted down by his cut off trackie bottoms and his now fade to grey beard (no cherry blossom this week!) came back to 2-2. Lots of barracking from the balcony as Dan dug in to take the match.
Up to the bar to carry on the banter with jugs of ale and food that Laurie would actually eat!!
