Report

Report: So Woolston 1 were well embedded into their Title challenge run in and 20 points needed every week.
Unfortunately as is often the case at this stage of the season, the teams near the bottom of the table struggle to get strong teams out. And this was the case for Crewe 4. With several division 5 players fielded.
The omens didn't look good for anything other than a big Woolston Win.

First on Dave V Mick, and to be fair Mick used his vast experience and was serving three times in the 3rd game for the game but Dave managed to turn it around and take a 3-0 victory, but well played Mick!
Next up Driver Pete V Andrew. Again the Woolston players was a big favourite, but Andrew really did try hard, but Petes class was too much and a comfortable 3-0 win.
Next on John "Boy" Finn V Geoff. Strange game this one and watching it looked very even, with Geoff especially hitting the ball beautifully and smoothly. There was a problem, John had a drop shot and Geoff didn't and this was the difference, with John winning far more comfortably than the action suggested.
Impatient Matt on now V junoir Brynn, and despite 3000 points in ranking between the players, Brynn equipped himself well, but his lack of experience was crucial with him tinning the ball in the important points. It was reoccurring all match long, but the score was much closer than Matt felt comfortable with, but 3-0 to Matt.
Could Ian take the Ģin, as he knew what was needed. First game wasn't close against Seb but closer than predicted. Although Ian rectified this winning 11-4 and 11-2 but not enough for the Ģin.
So the much needed 20 points achieved and now all in the bar. Great food and too much Erdinger beer for some, but a great night thanks to Crewe 4
