Report

Report: The tide has turned for the Brooklands boys in blue yes you teams above beware they are on the move. Ah but alas that can’t be said for Geoff the pensioner Walton the only thing that made him move was the Chicken Chow Mein super. He was battered by Martin I seem to be able to hit a nick off all my wood shots Ogden. Thank goodness this is a team game and the team was outstanding. Again our captain Gareth Jahangir Williams led the way beating Gareth my back is killing me Ainsworth 3 -0. The match was level at 1-1 when Charles golden locks Hickson went on court, however there was a short delay to allow his entourage to brush his golden locks. Well it did the trick and as it was for Samson it gave him strength beating Rob I think I’m getting old at 36 Harland 3-1. So the boys in blue were 2 up and then came the match of the evening. James don’t call me crosscourt Woodmansey against Malcolm I’m nearly a pensioner Mc Kendrick. Malcom with his majestic movement around the court took the first, with James yes cross courting taking the second. However the guile of the nearly a pensioner proved too strong in the 3rd and he took it. James was not going to be beaten and he took the 4th to square the match. The 5th went one way and then the other both players having match ball but yes with as you guessed James took the match with a crosscourt lob come drive.
The match was won but the number ones still had to play. Jasper I am available as a nappy changing consultant Palmer-Claus against Mark I have a bad foot bad back but still turns out for the team Collins. However nappy changer Jasper was too strong for Mr Team man Mark taking the game 3-0.
So the boys in blue had their 3rd win of the season. The crowd was ecstatic with joy even the hamster and the club cat staying until the final point was won.
Now it’s onwards and hopefully upward so beware next week Marple the boys in blue are coming to conquer.
