| Report: | All major bookmakers had this match too close too call at 11/10 for both teams to win 3-2.
Charlie was keen to play and go so the third strings were on first, No Sam for New Brighton this week but Nick is a more than able replacement but he started slowly losing the first and having to stage a mammoth fightback to win the second in overtime. see saw squash saw the boys share the third and fourth setting up a mouth watering decider. Charlie, still keen to get away early stormed ahead and found himself 10-5 up. Nick called upon every last ounce of effort and resilience to pull it back to 10-10 but Charlie was not to be denied and eked out a 12-10 win.
willo and andy had a five set humdinger earlier in the season, but on his home court wily old willo was quickly in to his stride and slowly the pace of the game and throwing out some snow kissed serves and surviving a spirited fightback in the third put the hosts two up.
Jamie had hot footed it from leicester but found Graham just too strong and CCO had secured the bonus points.
could there be more points available from Toughmudder and frostie ....... NO as the thomason boys treated the crowd to a display of scintillating squash to bring avery enjoyable evening of squash to a close.
as ever with these two teams much revellry and banter in the bar with CCO picking up valuable points at the wrong end of the table and New Brighton wondering what might be if Sam and Nick were available every week ......
