ditto for Nige and Robbie albeit with a welsh accent and travelling a shorter distance!
Frosty used to be the CCO youth policy but now finds himself as the 'wise' old man in this team and must have felt even older as he played somebody half his age ? honours even after two the third was the game of the evening with our guest just edging it and scenting victory but Frosty dug deep and his superior fitness saw him romp home (dictated by frost, typed by willo)
ditto for Charlie v Layna but this time the home player won the third and cooly, calmly took the fourth.
with Eddie back in the bosom of CCO Squash, Graham thought he might be off to Barnton to cross swords with Lee Washburn but this was not to be as Joe came off second best to a glass table, suffering damage to his cornea which although he is now sporting a rather handsome eye patch means he will not be playing squash for some time. we wish him a speedy but safe recovery.
In Joe's absence Graham took to the court with the match poised at 2-1 in favour of CCO and with ruthless efficiency secured the win and the bonus points for the home team, putting the boys in good spirits for a relegation 40 pointer v Knutsford next week. |
